Biographies
To achieve its financial and social mission, Westchester Arc has put together an outstanding management team to oversee eDocNY. eDocNY’s advisory committee is composed of Westchester Arc board members, senior staff, and business people experienced in the document conversion industry. This advisory committee oversees this division, reviews and approves plans and expenditures and monitors performance. This committee is required to submit periodic reports to the entire Westchester Arc Board of Directors.
Advisory Committee
Mohan Mehra is a past President of Westchester Arc Board of Directors. He has over 25 years of experience in business strategy, marketing and new business development with General Foods and Kraft Foods. He is a strategy and marketing consultant for start-up companies and does strategy work for national nonprofit organizations. He is a member of the ARC U.S. Board of Directors and the HOPE for Youth Foundation in Peekskill, New York. He earned an MS in Operations Research from Cornell University and completed the Multinational Marketing Program at Harvard Business School.
Anthony Assalone is Treasurer of Westchester Arc and a successful businessman in the Westchester County New York area. Before completion of the final year of his undergraduate studies at Bernard Baruch College, delayed by his very proud service in the U.S. Marine Corps, he went on to successfully launch his career as an automobile dealer in the Bronx. During the following thirty years, Mr. Assalone’s businesses grew to include franchises of several automobile manufacturers, located in four states, serving tens of thousands of customers. His companies employed more than 500 people and generated over $250 million of revenues annually. He has extensive experience in business development, start-ups, financial management, contract negotiations, mergers and acquisitions, reorganizations and customer and market development. His civic work in the South Bronx earned him a Citation from the New York City Mayor’s Office of Economic Development. He has served as chairman of several regional and national business associations, and has been honored as “Business Man of the Year”. Anthony Assalone has been a member of the Westchester Arc Board of Directors since 1995.
Thomas M. Hughes has been the Associate Executive Director of Westchester Arc since 1986. On the national level, Mr. Hughes serves as the Elected Chair of the Delegates Council, National Association for Persons in Supported Employment. On the state level, Mr. Hughes is the Elected Co-President of the NY Chapter, National Association for Persons in Supported Employment; and a Governor-appointed member of the NY State Taskforce on Supported Employment Funding -- Office of Mental Retardation and Developmental Disabilities. He is also currently a member of the NY State VESID Stakeholders Group on Supported Employment Funding-Vocational and Educational Services for Individuals with Disabilities. Mr. Hughes is a certified social worker, having earned his Masters degree from Hunter College School of Social Work. Mr. Hughes co-authored, with Mr. S. Friedman, Research: New Findings and New Directions: Issues in Community Mental Health.
Kim E. Spahn has worked in the field of Vocational Rehabilitation for 31 years. He is currently an Assistant Executive Director for Westchester Arc, and, among other responsibilities, oversees the agency's vocational training, job placement, small businesses, and transitional services programs. Mr. Spahn holds a Master's Degree in Education from Springfield College. He was a member of the board of director of the New York State Rehabilitation Association for six years; and he is currently a member of the association's state wide Vocational Services committee, including being the chairperson of their state conference for twelve years. Mr. Spahn was one of four individuals who founded the Westchester County Task Force on Supported Employment and Transitional Services in 1989.
Linda J. Warner is currently the Director of Career and Business Services at Westchester Arc. Ms. Warner has been serving as Business Manager and Director of Marketing and Contract Sales since 1983. Ms. Warner is a graduate of the University of Rochester, where she earned her Bachelors in Science in Education. Later, she received a Masters in Education from Syracuse University. Ms. Warner also manages WestchesterArc’s Micrographics, Document Destruction, and Record Storage business.
Kevin C. Hansan is the industry representative for eDocNY. Mr. Hansan is founder and CEO of ImageWork Technologies Corporation, a systems integration firm focused on Replacing the Paper in PaperWork®. In addition to helping launch eDocNY, Mr. Hansan has served as a founding member of the Digital Possibilities Group, an e-commerce internet firm, and the Westchester Information Technology Cluster, an organization formed to promote the products and services of IT firms in Westchester County, New York. He is a graduate of Virginia Commonwealth University with a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics.
